Hi, i’m iva.
I am a new mom and reproductive rights activist running to serve District 99 in the Kentucky State House of Representatives. Navigating pregnancy in a rural community—with the nearest hospital 40 minutes away—and then balancing full-time work with raising a child, I know firsthand the challenges that too many families across the Commonwealth face. I am running because I am committed to helping build a Kentucky that works for each of us: one where—regardless of our identities and zip codes—we ALL can access food, shelter, healthcare, and education.

Expanding access in rural communities through investments in workforce development, infrastructure, and technology that serve rural communities
Improving maternal and infant health outcomes, including by ensuring access to the full range of reproductive health decisions
Lowering and capping prescription drug costs

Increasing job quality by raising the minimum wage to a livable wage and strengthening protections for unions
Investing in universal childcare/pre-k
Supplementing federal SNAP benefits through a a complementary state-run program
Supporting community land trusts to expand access to affordable housing
education
Reducing teacher turnover by raising wages, improving pensions, and growing professional development opportunities
Investing in programs that make education more equitable, likefree breakfast and lunch for all students
Supporting community efforts to define workforce needs and promote trade school as an equal alternative to college
Invest in a kentucky that works for all of us
I believe that big money has no place in politics, so I do not accept corporate PAC dollars. But a campaign still needs money…when you give today, you are supplying our campaign with rack cards for door knocking, yard signs, supplies for community events and fundraisers, tabling fees, and strategic and fundraising support so I can focus on connecting with voters like you.
